New Dawn | North/Northern Lights (Tier VIII)  | Fault Line | Trident | Neighbors

New Dawn (Domination)

  • Destroyers should keep their distance from the center unless concealment is high. The areas north and south of the island clusters are better for destroyers to spot enemies and fire torpedoes
  • Cruisers should stay close to islands to avoid enemy fire. The island inside capture point A and the island cluster along the northwest edge of capture point B are great positions
  • Battleships should stick to the edges of their team’s capture point, providing fire support as new enemies are spotted

   North/Northern Lights (Domination)

(For brevity, both maps will be collectively referenced as “North”)

  • Destroyers shouldn’t over-commit to a specific point. Point A’s small size means detection is far more likely while attempting capture, and point B’s surrounding islands and firing angles create a similar situation
  • Cruisers should use the islands’ proximity to capture points to their advantage. These islands can be used for cover while allowing cruisers to provide close-range fire support and radar detection
  • Battleships should choose central positions, which restrict incoming fire but allow maximum coverage of the chosen point

Fault Line (Domination)

  • Destroyers should be aggressive, but wary of letting islands come between them and a retreat route. Southern team destroyers should approach point A from the southwest while northern team destroyers should approach point B from the northwest
  • Cruisers will have a tougher time positioning due to the height of islands on this map. They’ll have to rely more on smokescreens to effectively fire from cover, which means timing movements is all the more important
  • Battleships can use the map’s high islands for hard cover when flanking. Fault Line also tends to be torpedo-heavy, so paying attention to enemy destroyer location is even more important than usual

  Trident (Domination)

  • When moving towards point A, destroyers should be careful since islands obstruct retreat routes on both north and south sides. Skirting the adjacent islands and moving toward point A from the west is a better approach.
  • Cruisers should play close to A and use either the big center island or the island clusters to the north and south for cover. Radar support will help keep your team clued in to enemy movements surrounding the center island.
  • Battleships should stick to the north and south spots around the center island. The island provides coverage from incoming fire while providing the best position for support fire while the team moves in on point A.

 Neighbors (Domination)

  • Destroyers have a few options. Point A is entirely open ocean except for the northeast side, which makes for fast capture and easy spotting. Point B tends to get crowded pretty quickly, making concealment harder even with more islands around.
  • Cruisers should use the islands just south or north of point B. These locations are excellent spots for supporting teammates moving on either capture point. Due to island height, however, cruisers will often have to prioritize a point of focus.
  • Battleships will want to use similar positioning to the cruisers on this map.
